BADA Soap Making Workshop – Empowering Persons with Disabilities

OUR BADA PROJECT( BUILDING ON THE PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES)

On October 10, 2024, BADA (Building on the Abilities of Persons with Disabilities) held a hands-on soap-making workshop in Nkurakan to equip individuals with disabilities with income-generating skills.

 

Fourteen participants, guided by a skilled facilitator, learned the complete process of soap production.

 

Participants expressed excitement about using their new skills to start small businesses, reflecting the workshop’s success.

 

BADA remains committed to empowering abilities and fostering self-sufficiency within the community.

 

 

Queen Mothers

Dr. Cecilia Tutu-Danquah (Principal of TUCEE) and Mr. Wisdom K. Kudjordji (Vice Principal of TUCEE) addressed a gathering of Queen Mothers and other key district-level stakeholders at a one-day event in Sunyani. The theme for the event was “Securing Sound Mental Health for a Productive Life”. 

The event was organized by the Ghanaian-European Center (GIZ) to enlighten the invited Queen mothers on important issues of mental health, and how they can lead the charge in promoting sound mental health for themselves and their communities.

UENR Seminar

29th February 2024

Dr. Cecilia Tutu-Danquah (Principal of TUCEE) successfully facilitated a seminar for selected students at the University of Energy & Natural Resources in Sunyani. The session was on the theme “The Role of Mental Health in Personal Development”. 

The event was an initiative by the Ghanaian-European Center (GIZ) in partnership with UENR and the National Youth Authority. In attendance at the seminar were Prof. John K. M. Kuwornu (Pro Vice-Chancellor of UENR), Prof. Simon Abugre (Dean of Students for UENR), as well as reps from the Counselling Unit of UENR and the National Youth Authority.

On 17th February 2024, TUCEE led over 700 teenagers in Akuapem Cluster to identify their career path. The Career Path Development program emphasizes talent and personality identification, provides guidance on academic development program choices and career path identification.

421 Students Graduate from TUCEE Institute of Counselling and Technology

TUCEE Institue of Counselling and Technology held its 10th graduation ceremony on Saturday, November 30, 2024.

The graduation ceremony saw 421 graduating fellows who enrolled in various courses runed by the Institute such as certificate in counselling, marriage and family therapy, Child adolescent counselling, cyber trauma counseling and corporate mental health

Th graduation ceremony saw the attendance of dignitaries from the Prison service , University of Ghana,members from the Ghana Psychology Council , media partners including GTV, Metro TV, Pent TV, Business Ghana , Daily Graphic , Business and Finance and many others. The institute according to the Principal Dr. Cecilia Tutu Danquah will continue its contribution to national development in the areas of counselling and technology related professions.
